Former shuttler Giant's Causeway (Storm Cat-Mariah's Storm, by Rahy) added a US graded-stakes success when his colt Battle Hardened (Giant's Causeway-Jen's Fashion, by Northern Fashion) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the US$200,000 Gr3 Sam Davis Stakes (8.5 furlongs) for 3YOs at Tampa Bay Downs in Florida. Battle Hardened (ridden by Julien Leparoux for trainer Eddie Kenneally) defeated fellow colts Prospective (Malibu Moon-Spirited Away, by Awesome Again) & Reveron (Songandaprayer-Carolina Sunrise, by Awesome Again). Battle Hardened (a US$170,000 yearling at the 2010 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Sale) took his record to 1 win & 2 runners-up from 4 starts for US$138,855 earnings.
