Alternation (ridden by Luis Quinonez for trainer Don Von Hemel) defeated 6YO gelding Color Me Blue (Flatter-Lady Of Blue, by Danzig Connection) & fellow 4YO entire Twice The Appeal (Successful Appeal-Double Boarded, by Cormorant). Alternation took his record to 5 wins (also including 2011's Gr2 Peter Pan Stakes over 9 furlongs at Belmont Park) & 2 placings (including 2011's Listed Oklahoma Derby over 9 furlongs at Remington Park) from 10 stars for US$405,004 earnings.
