Aust-Bred Bangalore Bullet Wins NZ Metalon Guineas
Former 6-time Chilean Champion Sire Hussonet (Mr Prospector-Sacahuista, by Raja Baba) who relocated from Australia's Arrowfield Stud in the NSW Hunter Valley to stand the last Australian breeding season at Cornerstone Stud (previously Lindsay Park Stud) in South Australia, added a NZ black-type success when favoured Australian-bred colt Bangalore Bullet (Hussonet-San Century, by Centaine) scored a 0.75-length victory in the NZ$45,000 Listed Metalon Guineas (1400m) for 3YOs at Wingatui. Bangalore Bullet (ridden by Shannon Doyle for trainer Shane Kennedy) defeated the filly Orutan (Pins-Naturo, by Postponed) & the gelding Natuzzi (Coats Choice-Monsanto, by Kilimanjaro). Bangalore Bullet (a $50,000 yearling consigned by Lyndhurst Farm at the 2010 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) now has 3 wins (also including January's Listed Gore Guineas over 1355m at Gore) & 5 placings from 10 starts for NZ$67,725 earnings.
